Sjećate se “milenijske bube” koju su na veliko najavljivali tamo krajem 1999.!? E pa, trebalo je izgleda proći jedno cijelo desetljeće da se ta “buba” napokon pojavi, ali ne, nije se pojavila u elektroničkom obliku da vam sjebe kompjutere, već da vas poždere hehe! Naime, The Millennium Bug je SF horror triler redatelja i scenarista Kennetha Crana koji govori o divovskoj milenijskoj bubi sa veoma oštrim zubima. Radi se o niskobudžetnom filmu koji je snimljen isključivo uz pomoć minijatura, animatronike i maske, bez upotrebe CGI-a, što svemu skupa daje jedan 80s retro look. Zbog toga je produkcija i post-produkcija navodno trajala 2 i pol godine.”Buba” je do sada prikazana na bezbroj filmskih festivala diljem Amerike i Kanade, kao npr. na Dragon*Con Independent Film Festivalu, Shriekfest Film Festivalu, Freak Show Horror Film Festivalu, New Orleans Horror Film Festivalu itd. Na nekima od njih je film osvojio i nagrade. O službenoj kino/DVD premijer ovoga filma za sada još uvijek nema riječi.

It’s December 31st, 1999, and the world anxiously awaits the year 2000. Hoping to escape the Y2K computer glitch known as the “millennium bug”, Byron Haskin takes his new wife and teenage daughter camping in the isolated Sierra Diablos mountains. But madness finds them in the form of the Crawford clan, a family of in-bred hillbillies who abduct the Haskins in order to refresh their stagnant gene pool. As the Haskins fight for their lives, death and bloody carnage ensue, but neither they nor the Crawfords are aware of the monstrous horror hibernating beneath the forest floor. Unseen for 1,000 years, this millennium bug is hungry… and December 31st just happens to be its birthday.
