Već godinama Hollywoodski glavešine pokušavaju pokrenuti s mrtve točke novi nastavak iz serijala Jurrasic Park,  Jurassic Park IV. Čak je navodno kompletna glumačka postava originala – Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, Laura Dern i Richard Attenborough – pristala ponoviti svoje uloge, dok bi u redateljskoj stolici trebao sjediti Joe Johnston, potpisnik dosta zabavnog Jurassic Park III. No, untaoč tome ta vražja stvar nikako da se pokrene s te mrtve točke (reći će neki i bolje). Bilo kako bilo, Britanci su prestigli Spielberga i ekipu te ove godine izbacuju svoj film o dinosaurima po jednostavnim naslovom The Dinosaur Project. Riječ je o relativno niskobudžetnom avanturističkom SF horror filmu u režiji redatelja i ko-scenarista Sida Bennetta, snimljenom u stilu found footage filmova. Glumačku ekipu sačinjavaju nama uglavnom nepoznata imena, a Britanska premijera filma je zakazana za 10. kolovoz 2012.

Found footage of an expedition into the Congo jungle where a team of explorers stumbles upon a colony of Dinosaurs.

Set in the deepest, wildest throngs of the African jungle, The Dinosaur Project is an ambitious quest by a team of western explorers, hoping to find a water creature, whose origins are rooted in myth and fantasy amongst the indigenous people. The head of the expedition, an Indiana Jones look-a-like, has his plans for a successful trip spoiled though, after his helicopter is brought down by a flock of enormous birds (that look suspiciously dinosaurian) and to add to his troubles, he also has to look after his stowaway son, who has sneaked onto the trip. Luke, the stowaway son, is the films main narrator; with an arsenal of personal cameras at his disposal, the young techno-geek captures every minute of this Project, which soon becomes a lesson in survival. The team quickly discover all is not well in this jungle, and encounter some extraordinary creatures, most of which civilization has presumed extinct for millennia!
