Njemački teen fantasy SF redatelja Felixa Fuchssteinera o 16-godišnjakinji Gwendolyn koja “zahvaljujući” nasljednoj obiteljskoj mutaciji može putovati kroz vrijeme. Ali taj “dar” ju ubrzo uvali u nevolje. Riječ je o adaptaciji istoimenoga romana autorice Kerstin Gier. Rubinrot je prvi roman u trilogiji koju još sačinjavaju Saphirblau (Sapphire Blue) i Smaragdgrün (Emerald Green), te je jedan od najprodavanijih Njemačkih romana u bližoj prošlosti. Nakon uspjeha ekranizacija romana za mlade kao što su Harry Potter, Twilight, te The Hunger Games, i nijemci su odlučili unovčiti svoje književne teen fantasy uspiješnice, te ukoliko ovaj film bude uspješan, u planu im je ekranizirati i preostale dvije knjige iz spomenute trilogije. Njemačka i Ruska premijera su zakazane za isti dan, 14. ožujka 2013.

Rubinrot (“Ruby Red”) is the story of 16-year-old Gwendolyn who, thanks to a familial genetic mutation, can travel through time.
