Od scenarista, redatelja i producenata serija kao što su Lost Girl i Flashpoint, te filmova Ginger Snaps, Ginger Snaps: Unleashed, Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning i Cube, Johna Fawcetta i Graemea Mansona dolazi nam nova misteriozna SF triler serija Orphan Black o djevojci koja posvjedoči samoubojstvu djevojke koja izgleda identično kao i ona, te ubrzo nakon toga biva uvučena u niz misterioznih i opasnih događaja iza kojih se krije velika zavjera. Serija je snimljena u ko-produkciji Kanade i Amerike, a iza nje stoji TV kuća BBC America. Prva sezona će imatim sveukupno 10 epizoda, svaka u trajanju od 60 minuta. U glavnim ulogama su Tatiana Maslany (gledali ste ju u filmovima Defendor, Eastern Promises, Diary of the Dead te spomenuti Ginger Snaps: Unleashed), Jordan Gavaris, Dylan Bruce, Skyler Wexler, Maria Doyle Kennedy, kao i mnogi drugi. Pilot epizoda će premijerno biti prikazana na kanalu TV kuće BBC America 30. ožujka 2013.

Orphan Black follows outsider, orphan and street-wise chameleon Sarah. After witnessing a woman’s suicide, Sarah assumes the strangers identity – who happens to look just like her. Expecting to solve all her problems by cleaning out the dead woman’s savings, Sarah is instead thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery as she realizes the dizzying truth – she and the dead woman are clones. As Sarah searches for answers, she discovers the chilling fact that there are more people like her out there – genetically identical individuals who were planted in unsuspecting birth parents and nurtured in completely different circumstances. With no idea who created the clones, she’ll need to discover the reason in a hurry as an assassin is killing them one by one.
