Britanski redatelj i scenarist Sean Ellis nam donosi svoj treći dugometražni film(Cashback, The Broken), akcijsku krimi triler dramu Metro Manila radnjom smještena u Filipinima gdje naš junak Oscar sa obitelji seli u grad u potrazi za novim i boljim životom, ali ne zna da će to dovest do serije događaja koji će stavit na kušnju njegov moral i vjeru. U glavnim ulogama su Jake Macapagal, Althea Vega, John Arcilla, Ana Abad-Santos, Erin Panlilio i još neki. Film je premijerno prikazan 20. siječnja 2013. na Sundance Film Festivalu gdje je čak osvojio i nagradu publike, te zaradio nominaciju za nagradu žirija. A valja spomenuti i to kako su film popratile jako dobre kritike. Službenu premjeru u Francuskoj film ima 26. lipnja 2013.

Seeking a brighter future in megacity Manila, Oscar Ramirez and his family flee their impoverished life in the rice fields of the northern Philippines.
